Qingming Festival is from China culture. It is happening in the first week of April. The meaning of Qingming is family members make ritual offerings to their ancestors or prayer during Qingming. 

Sacrifice history from ancient. They prayed to the heaven god, land god, and river god, animal god with rituals and want to get lucky or want to get a kid. 

In Buddhism, We hold the ceremony by reading the sutra, worshiping, and repenting for the deceased, hoping they have happiness in another world or they can be reborn to the pure land.
